La Val is a historical founder of the Rías Baixas appellation. It is also one of the largest vineyard owners in this region with 94 hectares of fundamentally Albariño vineyards across four large estates: Vilachán in the Rosal, and Taboexa, Arantei and Porto in the Condado de Tea.
A great single estate wine from this superb region of North West Spain. At the bodega, the philosophy is to produce high-quality wines at reasonable prices, but from their own grapes. In this way, they control the quality of the wines, resulting in one of the best and oldest properties in the region, which is also located in an optimal location, which together with modern technology, make the wine outstanding in Rias Baixas.
Tasting Note:
A zesty, lime and pineapple nose. With bright peaches and apple fruit on the palate. There's a firm backbone of acidity which keeps the wine structured and just enough structure to give a wonderful mid palate.
Food Matches: Dublin Bay prawns with homemade mayonnaise.
